Job summary

Trinity Industries, through its RSI Logistics division, is seeking a Rail Logistics Coordinator to monitor railcars from origin to destination and manage returns. You will identify exceptions, communicate updates to stakeholders, and work with railroads to troubleshoot delays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in rail operations or logistics coordination.
• Proficient in the use of logistics software, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and effective communication are critical.

Responsibilities

• Understand railcar operations to identify potential issues and resolve customer service problems.
• Use a cloud-based railcar tracking system to monitor and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Communicate with railroads to troubleshoot issues and delays via phone and email, logging issues.
• Ensure railcars travel the correct route, destination, and on-time status.
• Understand bill of lading, way bills, and railroad terminology.
• Maintain a proactive, goal-driven mindset and seek continuous improvement.
• Present information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
