Job summary

HDR Rail EIT program offers a pathway to grow within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. You will gain experience on projects serving Class I to regional railroads, as well as municipal and port clients across North America.

You will work with experienced engineers and mentors to develop technical and professional skills while contributing to diverse rail infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or plans to pursue licensure.
• Plans to take or completed FE Exam.
• Internship, co-op, research, field or project experience related to engineering, transportation, construction or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
• Assist with technical deliverables including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates.
• Contribute to projects involving track, facilities, civil infrastructure and environmental services.
• Participate in site visits, field assessments, inspections, and project walkthroughs.
• Use engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
• Research and apply codes, standards and client requirements.
