HDR Rail EIT opportunities welcome new graduates and early‑career engineers to join a collaborative team delivering rail infrastructure projects across North America.

You will engage in design, analysis and field activities, with mentorship from seasoned engineers and access to advanced software tools. HDR’s employee‑owned model emphasizes growth, teamwork and long‑term career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• EIT certification or plan to pursue licensure.
• Internship/coop or field experience in engineering/infra.
• Interest in freight rail, transit or port projects.
• Basic knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD observed.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, construction and delivery of rail projects.
• Assist with calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Contribute to track, facilities, civil, environmental and advisory work.
• Participate in site visits, inspections and project walkthroughs.
• Use engineering tools to support project development and delivery.
• Research codes and client requirements; collaborate across teams.
