Job summary

BNSF is seeking Conductor Trainee to support the transportation of freight across its network. You will learn to manage train operations, monitor signals, and perform safety‑critical tasks in a demanding environment at our Tulsa, OK location.

The role involves extensive on‑the‑job and classroom training, travel as required, and a 24/7 on‑call/shift schedule. Relocation not offered; strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Able to climb/descend ladders and access equipment.
• Able to work at various heights and in diverse weather conditions.
• Willing to travel as required for assignment and training.
• Safety-conscious and capable of following strict safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information via oral and written channels and monitor daily work tasks.
• Operate track switches and derails to route trains and verify alignment.
• Inspect trains and equipment, determine make‑up, and report conditions.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment under diverse and extreme weather conditions.
