BNSF Railway, based in Temple, TX, is seeking a Conductor Trainee to join the Transportation department. This full-time role involves learning train operations, safety protocols, and coordination of dispatching activities.

Trainee training includes on-the-job and classroom sessions, with a company-paid program lasting up to 19 weeks at a Training Center in Overland Park, KS. Specific duties include operating switches, inspecting equipment, monitoring safety procedures, and adapting to on-call,

Formación

• Must be able to obtain and maintain employment authorization.
• Must be 18 years of age or older by the start date.
• Able to report for duty at the designated work location.
• Able to work safely in the above working conditions.
• Able to meet travel requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to identify and interpret hand signals and judge speed/distance of moving objects.
• Color vision and night vision requirements.
• Ability to climb/descend ladders and work at various heights.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment and wear PPE as required.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate information via oral and written channels; monitor and report daily work.
• Operate track switches and derails to route trains.
• Inspect trains and equipment per federal regulations; report track conditions.
• Perform duties in diverse weather and challenging environments.
