Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate English.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to learn to identify, interpret and use hand signals.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information via oral and written channels and monitor daily work.
• Operate track switches and derails to route trains and check switch points.
• Inspect trains and equipment per federal regulations and report conditions.
• Work in safety-sensitive environments under diverse weather conditions.
