Bon Secours is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician in Charlottesville, VA. The role performs digital radiographic studies, ensures patient safety, documents encounters in EMR, and collaborates with providers to support patient care.

Requirements include ARRT certification, Virginia state licensure preferred, BLS required, and experience with EPIC EHR and PACS. Travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an ARRT‑accredited institute preferred.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• BLS certification preferred or required; ARRT certification/registration required; state licensure preferred.

Responsabilités

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment; maintains safety and professionalism.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Determines and selects appropriate exposure factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills; assists with labs and may travel to other facilities as needed.
• Adheres to sterile technique and reports equipment issues to supervisor.
• Performs additional duties such as ordering supplies, scheduling, and scribing as needed.
