Job summary

BayCare Health System in Riverview, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in a busy hospital setting. The role supports imaging in OR and ED, handles RIS data management, and assists with patient transport and clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate will have BLS, Florida radiology licensure or eligibility for ARRT, and an radiology-related degree. This is a clinical, on-site pool position with varied shifts and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ARRT registry eligibility; or ARRT registration within 6 months.
• Radiology licensure in Florida.
• Technical Diploma (Radiology) or Associates Degree in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• May perform minor invasive procedures and support OR/ED imaging services.
• Responsible for imaging patient care, RIS data management, file room and clerical tasks.
• Assists physicians, transports patients and maintains documentation.
• Demonstrates customer service, time management and communication skills.
• Maintains computer skills relevant to the position.

Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Diagnostic Imaging-South Florida Baptist Hospital

• Location: Riverview, FL

• Status: Pool, Exempt: No

• Shift Hours: 8, 10, 12 hr shifts

• Shift: Shift 4, Varies

• Weekend Work: Occasional

• On Call: Yes

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

May perform minor invasive procedures and support operating room and emergency department diagnostic imaging services.

Responsible for all duties related to imaging patient care, RIS data management, file room, general clerical, physician assistance, patient transportation.

Must have customer service and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills.

Possesses computer skills appropriate to the position.

Preferred 1 year experience in CT Technologist, Electrocardiogram and/or MRI

Requirements:

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ARRT (Radiologic Technologists) - Registry Eligible; OR – ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) - within 6 months

Radiology – State of Florida

Technical Diploma (Radiology) OR Associates Degree – Radiology
