Job summary

Ascension Health in Nashville seeks a Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Radiology Float Pool on the night shift, PRN. You will produce high-quality diagnostic images and support the care team.

You will operate PACS, ensure patient safety, manage positioning and contrast administration, and collaborate across Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown facilities in Nashville.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate/Technical degree, or 4 years of related work.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Radiologic Technologist, or ARDMS Sonographer credentials within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images for accurate clinical decisions.
• Enforce radiation safety and maintain image quality with minimal exposure.
• Navigate PACS and digital workflows to secure and deliver patient data.
• Oversee end-to-end imaging including positioning and contrast administration.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images that empower physicians to make accurate, timely medical decisions for every patient.

• Champion patient safety by strictly enforcing radiation protection standards and ensuring minimal exposure while maintaining superior image quality.

• Navigate advanced imaging technology and digital workflows (PACS) to ensure patient data is accurate, secure, and delivered promptly to the care team.

• Manage the end-to-end imaging experience, including high-precision positioning and safe contrast administration, to ensure patient comfort and clinical accuracy.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.

• One or more of the following required:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
