Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a Radiologic Technologist for night shift, PRN coverage, within the Multimodality Float Pool. You will produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include using imaging technology and PACS, collaborating with physicians during procedures, and managing the end-to-end procedural space from contrast administration to patient comfort and care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) credential required.
• One or more of the following: CT or Mammography ARRT credentials, or MRI ARMRIT credential.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images to support timely medical decisions.
• Strictly enforce radiation protection standards to minimize exposure.
• Utilize PACS and digital workflows to ensure accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians during complex procedures, providing precision positioning.
• Manage the procedural environment from contrast administration to maintaining a high-standard space.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's

Degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

ARRT Radiologic Technologist credentialed in Radiography

ARRT Radiologic Technologist CT credentialed

ARRT Radiologic Technologist Mammography credentialed

ARMRIT credentialed for MRI

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images that empower physicians to make accurate and timely medical decisions for every patient.
• Champion patient safety by strictly enforcing radiation protection standards and ensuring minimal exposure while maintaining superior image quality.
• Navigate advanced imaging technology and digital workflows (PACS) to ensure that every patient record is accurate, complete, and delivered promptly to the care team.
• Partner with physicians during complex and advanced procedures, providing the technical expertise and high-precision positioning required for successful outcomes.
• Manage the end-to-end procedural environment from safe contrast administration to maintaining a high-standard clinical space to ensure a seamless experience for those in our care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education
