Akumin is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for our Marietta facility. This full-time role ensures patient pre-scan checks, proper authorization, and compliant scheduling, serving as the liaison among Operations, Scheduling and Revenue teams.

The position emphasizes efficiency, accurate scheduling, and strong communication in a multi-department setting, with opportunities to contribute to a patient-centered care approach across the site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in medical or related field required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience in the medical field- Front Desk, Scheduling, Eligibility/Authorization

Responsibilities

• Check patients pre-scan to ensure that, authorization (if needed) is obtained, order is compliant, and the exam is scheduled properly.
• Maximizes efficiency and optimization of site schedules.
• Act as a liaison between scheduling and other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
