Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a detail-oriented patient access specialist to join the MGH Radiology Scheduling team. You will manage patient registration, scheduling and information transcription across multiple systems while providing courteous, HIPAA-compliant service to patients and referring providers.

Responsibilities include coordinating new patient appointments, triaging calls, and ensuring accurate data entry of demographics, insurance and referrals to support timely scheduling.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.
• HIPAA privacy knowledge and data-entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the registration and scheduling for new patient appointments.
• Documents all patient demographic, medical, financial, and referral information into the computer in strict compliance with procedures for hospital registration and scheduling.
• Answers telephone, triages calls, and takes accurate and detailed messages.
• Provides basic information and instructions to patients regarding the practice and Hospitals across the enterprise.
• Obtains all patient information required by the providers prior to an appointment and ensures medical records are available.
