Tufts Medicine is seeking an Imaging Reading Room Assistant onsite to provide essential administrative and operational support in the Radiology Reading Room, coordinating with radiologists, physicians, residents, students, and staff to maintain a smooth imaging workflow.

The role handles scheduling, registration, billing tasks, phone triage, patient check-in, and documentation in the EMR, ensuring orders are accurate and aligned with clinical indications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience supporting customers.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments, including follow-ups, tests, and surgical bookings.
• Answers phones, triages calls, and takes messages in office or call center setting.
• Greets and checks-in patients; verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Assists with revenue cycle clearance, including registration accuracy, referrals, and insurance verification.
• Collects copayments and prepares medical records for visits.
• Completes general office tasks such as faxing, filing, mailing, and calendar management.
