Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to provide administrative support in a physician office or clinic. You will help patients with check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and front-desk duties to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include handling payments, directing patients, answering calls, and supporting medical records duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience: less than 1 year in related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient check-in and check-out, scheduling and referrals.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Answer phones and respond to routine inquiries about services and hours.
• Direct patients to waiting areas and assist with signing in.
• Process payments according to guidelines and post charges.
• Support medical records duties as requested.
