Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to provide essential administrative support in a physician office or clinic. The role supports patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and phone communications, with a schedule from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM to support a 24/7 department.

Responsibilities include handling patient payments, entering charges, and directing patients to appropriate services, while maintaining accurate records and offering

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient duties including relations, check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
• Assists patients and directs them to appropriate waiting areas; answers routine inquiries and handles payments.
• Posts payments and enters charges into the computer using established codes; generates daily payment reports.
• Provides accurate patient, medical, financial or procedural information to patients or approved outside entities.
• May assist with medical records duties as requested.
