Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred for this role.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
• 1+ year of customer services experience required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all financial assessments, eligibility, and benefits memos are clear and updated.
• Perform cashiering tasks, daily batching and cash reconciliation.
• Verify authorizations and pre-certifications to avoid denials.
• Maintain knowledge of online eligibility and pre-certification tools.
• Monitor patient tracking boards to identify registration needs.
• Review collection reports and meet upfront cash collection goals.
• Create accurate good faith estimates and document collections accordingly.
• Identify patients, verify demographics, and secure required forms.
• Facilitate timely discharge and maximize reimbursement.
• Register patients for services in compliance with policies.
