Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a motivated Admissions/Revenue Cycle Associate to support patient access and financial counseling. You will review Medicare compliance, estimate patient responsibility, and coordinate pre-authorizations with insurers, ensuring accurate patient data entry and timely payments.

Proficiency with EMR systems, strong communication, and attention to detail are essential. This role is part-time in a hospital environment in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Mature judgement when dealing with patients, physicians, and insurers.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in customer service and revenue cycle preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and government guidance.
• Familiarity with EMR and health IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare reviews and issue ABNs as needed.
• Estimate patient financial responsibility and collect/payments.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorizations.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance details.
• Maintain coverage of assigned areas during shifts and arrange relief.
• Communicate across departments to improve patient experience.
• Document conversations with patients and insurers for payer decisions.
• Assist with PBX and cashiering duties as needed.
