Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation, a provider of administrative and clinical support for ColumbiaDoctors, seeks a Practice Associate III to manage patient welcome experiences and registration in the Department of Radiology. You will schedule imaging services, verify insurance, and coordinate care with clinicians and patients, ensuring timely service and accurate data entry in Epic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a medical office environment with strong proficiency with medical terminology.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience with radiology/medical imaging office and Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and answer patient telephone calls.
• Conduct pre-registration, check-in, check-out, appointments, and related tasks.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and input data in Epic; track arrivals, no-shows, and payments.
• Manage physician schedules to secure necessary authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and imaging services; liaise between clinicians and patients.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff; serve as a point of escalation for front desk issues.
