Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support outpatient diagnostic imaging under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will perform patient assessments, manage exam procedures, and assist with film library and clerical duties in a busy imaging department.

The role requires 0–3 years of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification. Certification as a Medical Assistant or current enrollment in a Radiology Technologist program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care or radiology-related area is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Familiarity with radiology terminology and basic computer skills.
• Certified Medical Assistant or enrollment in Radiology Technologist program is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and management in outpatient imaging under Radiologist supervision.
• Conduct exam procedures and provide fluoroscopy services to patients.
• Review patient prescriptions for accuracy prior to exams.
• Complete paperwork and documentation of procedures.
• Transport patients between areas for testing and ensure safety.
• Respond to physician questions regarding procedures and patient needs.
• Provide film library and clerical support for the department.
