Job summary

Atlantic Health System Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Assistant to perform patient assessments, management, and select exam procedures in an outpatient imaging setting under direct supervision of a Radiologist. You will respond to patient questions while maintaining confidentiality and provide film library and clerical support.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, familiarity with radiology terminology, and basic computer skills; 0-3 years of experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-3 years of experience in Radiology Assistant or patient care.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
• Familiarity with radiology terminology and basic computer skills is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or enrollment in Radiology Technologist program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate preliminary image evaluations and bone density exams for the supervising Radiologist.
• Review accuracy of patient prescriptions prior to exams.
• Provide courteous and professional fluoroscopy procedures to all patients.
• Complete all paperwork related to technical procedures.
• Respond to physicians' questions regarding patient procedures.
• Safely transport patients within the hospital for diagnostic testing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
