Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology Assistant to perform patient assessments and manage select exam procedures in an outpatient imaging setting under a Radiologist's supervision. You will respond to patient questions, provide confidentiality, and support the department's film library and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with preliminary image evaluations, ensuring prescriptions are correct, and safely transporting patients to diagnostic tests while completing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant or in patient care.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Experience and familiarity with radiology, medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and manages select exam procedures under supervision.
• Responds to patient questions while maintaining confidentiality.
• Generates preliminary image report evaluations and bone density exams with supervising Radiologist.
• Transports patients for diagnostic testing and completes related paperwork.
• Supports film library and clerical tasks for the department.
