Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Radiology Assistant to perform patient assessments, management, and select imaging procedures in an outpatient diagnostic imaging setting under direct supervision of a Radiologist. You will respond to patient questions, maintain confidentiality, and provide film library and clerical support for the department.

Responsibilities include preliminary image evaluations, reviewing prescriptions, and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of Radiology Assistant or relevant patient care experience.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• Experience with radiology terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate preliminary image report evaluations and bone density exams under Radiologist supervision.
• Review and confirm patient's prescriptions prior to exams.
• Perform courteous fluoroscopy procedures/exams for patients.
• Complete all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Respond to Physician questions regarding patient procedures.
• Transport patients safely between hospital areas for testing and transfers.
• Provide film library and clerical support for the department.
