Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support patient assessments, management, and select exam procedures in an outpatient imaging setting under Radiologist supervision.

You will respond to patient questions, maintain confidentiality about diagnoses, and provide film library and clerical support for the department. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant or related patient care.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Experience with radiology terminology and basic computer skills.
• Certified Medical Assistant or currently enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Generates preliminary image report evaluations, interventional studies, and bone density exams for the supervising Radiologist.
• Obtains and reviews accuracy of patient prescriptions prior to performing exams.
• Provides courteous and professional fluoroscopy procedures/exams to all incoming patients.
• Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Responds to Physician's questions and needs regarding patient procedures.
• Transports patients safely between areas for diagnostic testing and transfers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
