Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support patient assessments and exam procedures in an outpatient imaging setting under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role involves reviewing prescriptions, performing fluoroscopy exams, and handling related clerical tasks.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and familiarity with radiology terminology. Prior MA or radiology program enrollment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with radiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Generates preliminary image report evaluations, interventional studies, and bone density exams for the supervising Radiologist.
• Obtains and reviews accuracy of patient's prescriptions prior to performing exams.
• Provides courteous and professional fluoroscopy procedures/exams to all incoming patients.
• Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Responds to Physician's questions and needs regarding patient procedures.
• Transports patients safely between hospital areas for diagnostic testing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
