Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Assistant to perform patient assessments, manage exams, and assist with select procedures in an outpatient imaging setting under the supervision of a Radiologist.

You will respond to patient questions, maintain confidentiality, and provide film library/clerical support for the department. The role includes paperwork completion and safe patient transport within the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience in Radiology Assistant, Patient Care or related area.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Experience and familiarity with radiology and medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• Certified Medical Assistant or currently enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Generates preliminary image report evaluations and bone density exams under Radiologist supervision.
• Obtains and reviews accuracy of patient prescriptions prior to exams.
• Delivers courteous fluoroscopy procedures/exams to patients.
• Completes all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
• Responds to Physician questions regarding patient procedures.
• Transports patients safely between hospital areas for diagnostic testing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
