Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under Radiologist direction. The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and appropriate state licensing with an emphasis on safety, quality imaging, and patient comfort.

The position emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and adherence to department protocols while maintaining equipment and patient flow to support timely reporting and excellent care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography required
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA)
• Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
• Related work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within department guidelines
• Acts as resource for staff during radiographic procedures
• Ensures image quality via correct positioning, shielding, and patient identification
• Maintains daily equipment knowledge and room readiness
• Supports QA/QC programs and timely image processing
• Mentors technologists and students and participates in staff development
