Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures across patient ages under radiologist supervision. Independent judgement is used to adapt procedures for optimal results.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and accurate imaging within department standards. The ideal candidate holds ARRT registration, BLS, and state licensure, with related imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Certification as ARRT radiologic technologist, BLS within 30 days, state license where applicable.
• Completion of Radiologic Technology program with associate degree or higher.
• Related work experience in medical imaging is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures ensuring accurate examinations per policies and standards.
• Exhibits competency and serves as a resource for staff during procedures.
• Selects views, uses filters, collimation, markers, and patient identification to optimize images.
• Maintains patient comfort and applies radiation protection measures.
• Troubleshoots equipment and maintains room supplies.
• Completes lab testing as appropriate.
• Processes and prepares images and paperwork for timely reporting.
• Manages patient flow and assists with transport within department.
• Enters patient data into HIS/Radiant and PACS accurately.
• Ensures a safe environment and contributes to QA/QC programs.
• Teaches and mentors technologists/students and supports quality improvement.
