Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, patient comfort, and teamwork in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications include ARRT Radiography registration, BLS, and state licensure, plus an Associate’s degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiography registration required.
• BLS within 30 days required (AHA).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA).
• Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology required.
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures with accuracy within established guidelines and under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Exhibits competency and serves as a resource for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Provides proper views, uses filters, collimation, markers and patient identification to enhance image quality.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety, practicing radiation protection.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and acts as a resource for troubleshooting.
• Maintains clean work area and stocks supplies; ensures proper accessories for the room.
• Performs lab testing as appropriate.
• Supports department operations to meet patient needs and expectations.
• Processes images and paperwork promptly to provide timely reports.
• Manages patient flow and insurance HIS/Radiant/PACS data entry.
• Contributes to QA/QC and safety programs.
