Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. This role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for optimal diagnostic results.

Responsibilities include handling imaging views, ensuring radiation protection, supporting department operations, and training staff. Relocation and sign-on bonuses are available based on experience and distance.

Qualifications

• Registered in Radiography (R) - ARRT.
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
• Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology.
• Associate’s Degree: Radiologic Technology.
• Work Experience: Related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately and in accordance with department guidelines.
• Exhibits competency and acts as a resource for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Ensures image quality through proper views, filters, collimation, markers and patient identification.
• Maintains patient comfort and applies radiation protection measures.
• Keeps equipment knowledgeable and serves as a troubleshooting resource.
• Maintains clean work area and stocks supplies.
• Performs lab testing as appropriate.
• Processes and prepares images and paperwork for timely reporting.
• Manages patient flow to ensure efficient care.
• Enters patient information into HIS and Radiant PACS accurately.
• Maintains safe environment and QA/QC programs.
• Provides training to technologists and students.
• Participates in Quality Improvement and team development.
• Maintains current knowledge of new processes and procedures.
