Qualifications

• Certifications: Registered in Radiography (R) - ARRT; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA; Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - IEMA
• Education: Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology; Associate‘s Degree: Radiologic Technology
• Work Experience: Related field

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within guidelines, policies and standards of medical imaging
• Exhibits competency and serves as a resource for staff during radiographic procedures
• Maintains image quality with proper filters, collimation, markers and patient identification
• Ensures patient comfort and radiation protection
• Maintains equipment knowledge and room readiness; troubleshoots
• Maintains clean work area and proper supplies in the room
• Performs lab testing as appropriate
• Supports department operations to meet patient needs
• Processes and prepares images and paperwork promptly for timely reports
• Manages patient flow and assists in transport as required
• Accurately enters patient information into HIS and related systems
• Maintains safety for patients and staff and supports QA/QC programs
• Mentors technologists and students, contributing to a productive learning environment
• Leads teamwork and communicates with regional professionals
• Looks for process improvements and supports competency development
