Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Radar Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Huntsville, AL to work on advanced radar programs, signal processing, and algorithm development. You will collaborate with seasoned engineers on performance optimization, latency reduction, and deployment of sensor systems in EW environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, US citizenship, and eligibility for DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville area.
• Strong technical background with radar modeling, simulation and software development.
• Experience collaborating with a team of engineers to solve radar algorithm problems.

Responsibilities

• Support development of radar signal processors and tracking algorithms.
• Contribute to simulations of radar systems and field-testing of RF sensors and systems.
• Investigate newer algorithms from literature to improve performance and latency.
