Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Radar Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to create solutions for radar-oriented problems. You will work with a diverse team on radar signal processing, tracking algorithms, and RF sensor field-testing.

Ideal candidates are ABET-accredited bachelor's students in Electrical or Computer Engineering, US citizens able to obtain DoD Secret clearance, and prepared to relocate to Huntsville, AL. Strong MATLAB, Python, C++, and Linux fundamentals are expected.

Qualifications

  • Active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
  • U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
  • Residency in North Alabama or willingness to relocate to Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Strong teamwork and technical background with radar modeling and software development.
  • Experience with radar algorithm problems and peer review of new algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Support radar programs including development of radar signal processors, tracking algorithms, and RF sensor field-testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers to analyze existing algorithms and identify improvements in performance and latency.

Skills

MATLAB / Python
Modern C++ development
Familiarity with Linux

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
