Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks an entry-level Radar Engineer to join a diverse team in Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to radar signal processing, tracking algorithms, and sensor field tests while collaborating across engineers to improve performance and latency.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, US citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, and willingness to relocate to Northern Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• US citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Resident of Northern Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.
• Strong technical background with radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, DSP, tracking, and field testing.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and teamwork in radar algorithm problems.
• Desirable: Electromagnetics, Modern C++ development, Linux familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced radar programs including development of radar signal processors and tracking algorithms.
• Simulate radar systems and field-test RF sensors and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve performance and latency of radar algorithms.
• Review and investigate literature for potential algorithm improvements.
