Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to serve as the Radar Array Lead for a multi-mission AESA radar within the MFRFS Product Line in McKinney, TX. This onsite role focuses on design, development, and sustainment of active antenna arrays for missiles and radars.

You will lead technical efforts, coordinate with program management, provide design recommendations, and work with the chief engineer on risks and maturation.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Prior experience with RF simulation toolsets (e.g., ADS, HFSS, SystemVue, etc.).
• Prior experience with RF testing including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and near field probes.

Responsibilities

• Primary technical point of contact and responsible engineer for development, production and sustainment activities for designated array within the MFRFS Product Line.
• Interface between the program engineering and program management to the Array design authority.
• Work with the Array chief engineer (CE) on technical issues, assist with prioritization of efforts and report task execution status.
• Provide recommendations to the chief engineer on design improvements, technical risks and benefits, and overall technical maturation of the designated array.
• Coordination of design update activities, production build issues requiring engineering troubleshooting and support for field issues related to designated array.
• Occasional travel opportunities may be required to support our customers at various sites.
