Job summary

RTX's Naval Power group in Plano, TX, is seeking a Radar Senior Principal Systems Engineer to provide radar expertise across programs and IRAD efforts for the AAS system. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Plano, Texas.

You will lead a small team of radar analysts, develop radar modes (SAR, ISAR, MTI, Tracking), and support the chief engineer. U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and at least 10 years in radar development, MTI and Tracking
• Proficient in C/C++, UNIX/Linux; experienced with MATLAB or Python for data analysis
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for USN and USG scientists on algorithms and capabilities for AAS
• Lead a small radar-analyst team; support chief engineer and lead systems engineer
• Perform radar performance analysis, waveform design, and data analysis for complex systems; manage SW releases
