Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to serve as Backend Electronics Lead for a multi-mission radar system. You will own the DREX design for the MFRFS product line and drive development, production, and sustainment activities onsite.

The role requires strong RF design and leadership skills, with experience in RF/Microwave modules and mixed signal CCAs, and the ability to coordinate across engineering teams and with program management.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, SystemVue).
• Experience with RF testing (spectrum/network analyzers).
• Technical leadership and hardware design expertise for RF/digital modules.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, production, and sustainment of the designated DREX within the MFRFS Product Line.
• Coordinate with engineering, product leads, chief engineer, and program management on plans and status.
• Provide design improvement recommendations and manage technical risks.
• Drive resolution of technical issues and optimize DREX build processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams for next-gen DREX and support sustainment.
