Job summary

Raytheon NAS in Plano, TX, seeks a Radar Principal Systems Engineer to act as radar SME across multiple programs, advancing waveform development and system design onsite. You will lead a small team of analysts and partner with on‑site engineers to push radar capabilities forward.

The role requires strong analytical skills, extensive radar experience, and the ability to obtain an DoD clearance. This is an onsite Plano, Texas position with relocation support and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 8 years of radar mode/skill development and radar system integration experience.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux and programming in C/C++ and data analysis with MATLAB or Python.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Radar performance analysis and waveform development for complex radar systems.
• Participate in peer reviews and resolve identified technical problems.
• Interface with team lead and engineers daily.
• Conduct customer/program presentations as needed.
• Develop novel radar waveforms and innovative outputs.
• Mentor junior engineers within the algorithm group.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
