Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in McKinney, TX to serve as Backend Electronics Lead for a multi-mission radar system. You will own DREX design and sustainment within the MFRFS engineering team, coordinating with product leads and the chief engineer.

The role requires leadership, RF design experience, and the ability to drive complex electronics development from architecture through production. Onsite work in McKinney, relocation available.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RF simulation and RF testing equipment.
• Proven technical leadership and design-execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, production and sustainment for designated DREX within MFRFS.
• Coordinate with engineering, product leads, chief engineer and PM on plans.
• Recommend design improvements and manage technical risks.
• Drive resolution of technical issues and optimize DREX build processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for next-gen DREX and integration.
• Support sustainment and evaluate repaired units for field return.
• Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
