RWJBarnabas Health's Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ seeks a Quality Nurse (RN) to join the Quality Resource Services team. This salaried, day-shift role focuses on performance improvement, patient safety, and data-driven care initiatives across the organization.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license with BLS, a BSN preferred, and at least two years of clinical quality experience. Commitment to ongoing education, CPHP/CPPS certifications within two years of hire recommended.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license and current BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience with healthcare quality focus.
• Willingness to obtain CPHQ & CPPS within two years of hire.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills with EMR.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating clinical services and performance improvement initiatives (Peer Review, Mortality Review, Root Cause Analysis).
• Support peer review, QAPI, Patient Safety committees and disseminate action plans.
• Schedule SEC meetings bi-monthly and monitor outcomes.
• Collaborate with departments to improve workflow, mortality, readmissions, and CMS star ratings.
• Help develop clinical indicators and communicate performance internally.
• Contribute to data projects and teaching materials for organizational needs.
• Lead onboarding training for new staff and support orientation for high reliability.
• Assist in EMR reviews to identify gaps in patient care.
