Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, evidence-based care, and collaborative teamwork in a post intensive care unit setting.

The RN will document in EPIC EMR, participate in rounds, and pursue ongoing professional development. Active NJ RN license with NJ endorsement, BLS, and ACLS within six months are required alongside a BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• ACLS certification within six months of hire
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Certifications: MEDSURG-BC, PCCN, CMSRN

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening as needed
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and senior providers for timely, coordinated care decisions
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness for next care steps
• Document accurately in the EMR to support continuity and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to team communication and transitions of care
• Support ongoing professional growth through education and organizational resources
