Job summary

Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center, a RWJBarnabas Health facility, seeks an RN for the Post Intensive Care Unit IV. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to coordinate care.

Strong communication and a commitment to evidence-based practice are essential. requirements include NJ RN licensure (or Multistate with NJ endorsement), BLS, ACLS within six months, and a BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license (or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement) in good standing and current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Medical/Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes for early intervention.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on patient care grounded in evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately for the next phase of care.
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment with shared accountability and ongoing professional growth.
