Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Quality Inspector for a full-time contract role in Sterling, VA. The inspector will perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured hardware and components, using precision measuring tools and adhering to quality documentation.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints and electrical schematics, operate inspection software, and verify work orders for accuracy. Occasional travel (about 5%) to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) or vocational/technical education with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and basic inspection software is expected.

Quality Inspector - Construction & Manufacturing

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 06 Months

Location: Sterling VA

As a Quality Inspector you will:

• Inspect a variety of units using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.
• Read, interpret and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation.
• Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.
• Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks (e.g. Via Search, SAP, Engineering Information System, labor charging).
• Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.
• Complete unit shakedowns (when required) to check for foreign objects, rattles and loose internal hardware.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with files management.
• Conduct Preliminary Material Reviews (PMR) as needed.
• Assist with third party source inspection
• Perform other duties as necessary, requested, directed or assigned.
• Must be able to read/interpret Blueprint and Electrical Schematics
• Occasional travel may be required to customer sites. Roughly 5% travel which will include overnights for 1 week at a time.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

This position qualifies for a Referral Bonus amount of $250-$1000 dollars.

Pay Range*: $27.00 - $30.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
