Innova Solutions is hiring a Data Scientist for a 6+ month contract (W-2) engagement based in Cupertino, CA, with NYC as a secondary office. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office. Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Scientist.

Position type: Full-Time Contract (W2).

Role: Data Scientist.

Duration: 6 + Months Contract.

Location: Cupertino, CA and New York (work from office 3 days a week).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-7 years of experience in Data Science, with a strong focus on business-facing product analytics; financial products experience is a plus
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience querying and extracting data from big data environments (Spark) highly desirable
• Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, including control group setup and efficacy measurement
• Working knowledge of when and how to apply AI/LLM capabilities to business problems, with the ability to communicate those recommendations to business partners (this is not a deep ML/AI engineering role)
• Strong critical thinking skills, able to take an ambiguous problem statement and break it down into smaller, actionable steps
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical rigor and machine learning techniques to derive insights from large, complex data sets
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter who can drive projects with little supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with Tableau or similar BI/visualization tools
• Equal parts business and technical savvy

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS

Pay Range*: Between $60 - $65/- per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
