Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Quality Inspector in Sterling, VA. This full-time, 6-month contract covers receiving, in-process and final inspections of hardware and components, using micrometers and calipers. Travel around 5% may be required.

Salary is $27–$30 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED with at least two years of related experience and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with at least 2 years of quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics.
• Experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect a variety of units using micrometers, gauges and calipers with proper techniques.
• Read, interpret and apply quality policies, blueprints and documentation.
• Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection of hardware and components.
• Operate SAP and other systems to perform inspections and record data.
• Verify work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.
• Complete unit shake-downs to check for foreign objects and loose hardware.
• Maintain files and perform PMRs as needed.
• Assist with third party source inspection and other duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel up to ~5% including overnights.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector.

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 06 Months

Location: Sterling VA

Job Description

• Inspect a variety of units using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.
• Read, interpret and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation.
• Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.
• Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks (e.g. Via Search, SAP, Engineering Information System, labor charging).
• Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.
• Complete unit shakedowns (when required) to check for foreign objects, rattles and loose internal hardware.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with files management.
• Conduct Preliminary Material Reviews (PMR) as needed.
• Assist with third party source inspection
• Perform other duties as necessary, requested, directed or assigned.
• Must be able to read/interpret Blueprint and Electrical Schematics
• Occasional travel may be required to customer sites. Roughly 5% travel which will include overnights for 1 week at a time.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $27.00 - $30.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
