Job summary

Atkore, based at the Kokomo plant, seeks a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing by monitoring product quality, analyzing defects, and driving continuous improvement. You will implement corrective actions and work with cross‑functional teams to reduce waste and improve process capability.

The role emphasizes hands‑on problem solving, experience in a manufacturing environment, and knowledge of APQP/PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and ISO 9001 standards; lean experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP, control plans and FMEA is required.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk and Gage R&R in manufacturing.
• Advanced data analytics and MS Office proficiency with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate design, material, or process improvements with hands‑on engineering support.
• Analyze defects, implement corrective actions, and monitor quality metrics.
• Create Standard Work and maintain documentation systems.
• Lead Lean initiatives and participate in cross‑functional teams.
