Job summary

Atkore International in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and troubleshoot production lines focused on design, material, and process improvements. You will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve process capability.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of manufacturing experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with hands‑on engineering.
• Ability to read drawings and specify tolerances; proficient with CAD tools.
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot product lines related to design, material or process.
• Collaborate with contractor and end user to design, build and gain PPAP acceptance.
• Enhance preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Support maintenance to reduce downtime and root cause failures.
• Document concepts, designs, protocols and reports.
• Evaluate products against specs to improve manufacturing processes.
• Conduct time/motion studies and work measurements.
• Prototype and build custom solutions with the manufacturing team.
• Drive New Product Development and justify capital expenditure.
