Job summary

Atkore International seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for Kokomo, IN, reporting to Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include developing and trouble-shooting processes and production lines tied to design, material, or process.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience and lean manufacturing exposure. The role emphasizes working with contractors and end users to implement cost reductions, improve operations, and ensure PPAP acceptance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
• Three plus years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Aptitude in AutoCAD / SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot product lines related to design, material, or process.
• Design, build, and gain PPAP customer acceptance with cost/ops improvements.
• Enhance preventive maintenance programs and improve equipment reliability.
• Support maintenance to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance processes.
• Document concepts, designs, and processes with written protocols and reports.
• Determine product specifications and evaluate processes to improve manufacturing.
