Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to be based in Kokomo, IN. You will develop and troubleshoot production lines, work with contractors to obtain PPAP acceptance, and improve maintenance programs for reliability and efficiency.

You will apply a strong Mechanical/Manufacturing background, lean manufacturing experience, and solid CAD skills to design and optimize processes, tooling, and equipment. Effective communication and project leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Aptitude in AutoCAD / SolidWorks; ability to design and troubleshoot.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot product lines related to design, material, or process.
• Work with contractors and end users to design, build, and gain PPAP acceptance with cost and operation improvements.
• Enhance preventive maintenance programs and improve equipment reliability.
• Support maintenance to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance processes.
• Document designs, processes, and write protocols and reports.
• Determine product specs and evaluate processes against standards.
• Conduct time and movement studies and analyze methods.
