Job summary

nVent is seeking a Quality Engineer for a new Lexington, MN facility. You will act as the primary liaison with customers, drive quality processes, and lead MRB and NCR activities. Onboarding occurs at Blaine or Anoka, MN until the Lexington site opens in 2027.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers across cross-functional teams, use Six Sigma DMAIC, APQP and PFMEA methods to ensure high-quality, compliant products and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• CQE, CMQ, CQA and ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training preferred.
• Experience in process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean, and quality systems.
• Experience with optical, multi-sensor, and scanning inspection equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Quality function and liaise with customers.
• Engage customers at multiple levels and address concerns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and suppliers.
• Support production to ensure high-quality, compliant products.
• Lead MRB activities and corrective actions.
• Manage internal NCRs and external quality issues from identification to resolution.
• Evaluate suspect or nonconforming materials and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Six Sigma DMAIC problem-solving including containment and root-cause analysis.
• Support APQP activities for new product launches (PFMEA, Control Plans, GR&R, FAI).
