Job summary

nVent in Blaine, MN is seeking a Quality Engineer II for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM) at our climate-controlled facility. You will represent the Quality function, liaise with customers, and ensure products meet the highest standards for performance and reliability across the Data Center Solutions value stream.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and suppliers, drive Six Sigma and APQP activities, manage MRB and NCRs, and support First Article

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality processes.
• CQE, CMQ, CQA or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training preferred.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean and quality systems.
• Experience with optical, multi-sensor, and scanning inspection equipment.
• Experience across multiple manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Quality function and liaise with customers, building confidence in processes.
• Engage customers at multiple levels to address concerns and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations and suppliers.
• Support production to deliver high-quality, compliant products.
• Lead MRB activities and manage NCRs and external quality issues.
• Evaluate suspect materials and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Six Sigma problem-solving using DMAIC methodologies.
• Support APQP activities for new product launches (PFMEAs, Control Plans, GR&R, FAI).
